Fabulous staff, fine and tidy rooms as in photos. A wide range of supplies in the room: TV set with satellite channels, climate control, and an individual safe.

Property was recently renovated and little, I truly enjoyed the stay.
The hotel was a useful base for enjoying a good area, short walk to sights and transportation and ancient Istanbul. My new-fashioned room was tidy and beds were very comfy. The view was magnificent here and the staff were very-very nice and polite people especially the manager. The location was favourable and magnificent, close to Basilica Cistern.

Ideal and fairly clean place, genuinely professional staff especially the manager. Comfy bed in the deluxe room, plus central heating, an iron and an electronic key card. Above average and delicious breakfast and great views. Best possible, convenient location in Istanbul, very close to ancient Istanbul, the airport and down town and most attractions. Also, in center. Honestly no complaint.

Loved the rooftop terrace for breakfast and the location. The room was comfortable and exactly what you need as a launching pad for the city. Wifi was great. Our half day tour was canceled and hotel staff was able to get us in on a similar one last minute, that was much appreciated. Great comfortable stay, probably could get cheaper elsewhere but the extras were there and made it worth while.
The public areas are lacking in this small hotel. In the summer I'm sure the rooftop is used as this but traveling in November it's a chilly breakfast and thats it. The sitting area downstairs is a bit uninviting. if you like to spend time in the hotel to relax or plan the rest of you trip, plan to do it in your room.

Basic facilities everything required for a hotel stay. Location is fantastic - on the doorstep of the tourist sights of Sultanahmet and within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar/ Spice Bazaar/ Eminou ferries and Galata Bridge.
The roof top terrace wasn't finished while we were staying - but we were able to go up and see the fantastic panoramic views - almost as good as the ones from the Galata Tower! Hopefully this is a work in progress as it would be a lovely area to relax after a hard day walking in Istanbul. Otherwise there is no lounge/bar area other than the breakfast room (which is very "canteen" like) to relax in.

The hotel is located in a strategic area, with major tourist attractions just a few minutes walk away. It offers convenience and saves time for travelers to explore the city. the staff is extremely friendly and always ready to assist guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Some guests mentioned that the rooms were not cleaned properly, which impacted their overall experience.

Very clean, new hotel, close to the main attractions.
They don`t have parking places as mentioned, for us was very important as we arrived by car and we spent many hours trying to park. Very small room, but this is common in Istanbul, the bathroom is separated from the rest of the room by glass walls so you don`t have any privacy.Same breakfast every day.

Really good location, away from the noise of the main square, but very close to sights. The staff were very helpful, especially Omar the night clerk on when I arrived. A young lady worked the reception during the day and was especially helpful in ordering a taxi to the airport that another member of staff had forgotten about.
The stair well was too dark, and not enough lighting to ensure safety on the stairs.

It was a lovely stay at LI Hotel. We were in touch through internet before our Istanbul visit and were given all the information we wanted. The room was a bit small but gives an impression of bigger soace due to mirors on the wall. Overall clean rooms. The bathroom is separated from the room just through a glass wall but you get used to it after some time.Bathroms are very nice and tidy with separate shower cubicle, offering good supply of hot water irrespective of peak hours. The breakfast is same each day but has everything you need to start to day healthily and breakfast items are refilled regulary during the breakfast hours. The bonus is that they started serving breakfast on the rooftop a couple of days ago before we were to check out and the rooftop view was absolutely fantastic , offering scenic views of the Marmara Sea on one side and the Blue mosque and Hagia Sofia on the other. The staff was very polite and friendly, trying to help you in different ways. We craved for the English tea instead of the Turkish tea and staff provided us with tea bags and milk to make our own tea in room. They also guided us regarding all the attractions in the area providing us information about local tram routes/bus routes. The hotel location is within walking distance form all the major attractions and main old city as well as local tram stations and Grand Bazaar.Overall it was an abosultely pleasant experience to stay in L1 Hotel and we will strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a very good budget hotel in close vicinity to main attractions, with very good customer service.
1. My wife's brand new slippers disappeared mysteriously from our room which we just found out a day before our checkout. We reported this to the staff but they were unable to find them. So please keep a close eye on your belongings, although the safety box was absolutely safe 2. More lighting in the room would be great, especially the shower cubicle which has no light at all. 3. Some storage area for clothes in room would be really nice. 4. More Engish channels in rooms TV
